Mental Health in Sports Units

BASES has commissioned Drs Paul Gorczynski and Anthony Papathomas to create a bespoke suite of mental health resources, including videos and resources, which are available for SEPAR candidates, supervisors and reviewers. These educational materials will aim to support learners to develop essential knowledge on the critical issue of mental health in sport.

Whilst the materials below are numbered 1 to 8, each is a standalone, coherent and complete topic. You can review them in sequential order, or you can work through them in any order you wish. Please engage with each unit’s educational resources to ensure learning outcomes are fulfilled. This will include viewing each video presentation and working through the corresponding booklets. Additionally, the recommended readings should supplement knowledge and critical understanding. Please then discuss your reflections with your supervisor and remember to complete the CPD Activity Evaluation document.
